FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College men's basketball team improved to 7-0 in Skyline Conference play with an 83-61 victory over Purchase College on Tuesday evening.
FSC (14-2) trailed 23-22 with 7:19 remaining in the first half before using an 8-0 run to jump ahead, 30-23. Junior forward

Michael Notias (Manhasset, N.Y.) added a free-throw to give the Rams a seven-point advantage.
Purchase (5-12, 3-5 Skyline) responded with nine unanswered points to regain the lead at 32-30.
After a timeout with four minutes left in the half, Farmingdale State closed on a 12-2 run to take a 42-34 lead into the break. Buckley and sophomore forward
Jordan Tucker (Elmont, N.Y.) scored five points apiece during the stretch.
Following a Panthers 3-pointer to open the second half, FSC went on a decisive 20-2 run over a seven minute span to extend their lead to 62-39. Tucker capped the run with seven points to give the Rams the 23-point advantage.
Farmingdale State maintained at least a 16-point lead over the next eight minutes and pushed its margin to 24 in the final minute securing the 83-61 Skyline Conference victory.

Derek Reed (Shinnecock, N.Y.) shot 8-of-10 from the field for a career-best 17 points, while Buckley finished with 13 points and seven rebounds. Tucker produced 13 points, two blocks and two steals off the bench and Evans recorded 12 points and eight rebounds. Junior guard
Sean Conroy (Staten Island, N.Y.) filled the stat sheet with five points, seven rebounds, seven assists, two blocks and two steals in the win.
Farmingdale State will next travel to play Yeshiva University in a Skyline Conference matchup on Saturday, January 24th at 8:30 p.m.
