COMPLETE D3BASEBALL.COM PRESEASON ALL-AMERICA TEAM
FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | D3baseball.com recently released its 2026 Preseason All-America Team, and Farmingdale State College senior outfielder
Richie Heyder (Holbrook, N.Y.) was tabbed on the organization's third team.
This marks the third time in the last four seasons that the Rams have had a student-athlete recognized from D3baseball.com on its Preseason All-America listing. Right-handed pitchers Stephen Clancy and
Johnny Dougherty garnered second-team accolades in 2023 and 2025, respectively.
Heyder ranked No. 14 in Division III with a .441 batting average in 2025, and was a first-team All-Region III selection by D3baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches Association. The All-Skyline Conference First Team honoree led the Rams with 60 hits (No. 2 in Skyline), nine doubles, four triples, 92 total bases, a .676 slugging percentage and a .494 on-base percentage. Heyder, a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection last spring, hit two home runs in as many contests during FSC's appearance at the Johns Hopkins Regional of the 2025 NCAA Division III Baseball Championship.
Farmingdale State went 26-16 in 2025, including a 14-6 record in Skyline Conference play. Head coach
Keith Osik's Rams captured their record-ninth Skyline Conference championship en route to their appearance in the NCAA tourney.
FSC's 2026 Skyline title defense is scheduled to begin March 10 (Tue.), when it travels to the Bronx for a 3 p.m. first pitch at Lehman College.
