Delaney Keegan (Lake Grove, N.Y.) was one of five Rams to record a double-digit digs total on the evening with her season-high 25 from the libero position.
After the Devils (5-3) captured a five-point decision in the first set, Farmingdale State used an 11-3 run midway through the second to jump ahead by a 21-17 margin. Sophomore outside
Caroline Lange (Shoreham, N.Y.) put down three of her six kills during the spread, while Keegan added two aces from the service line. FDU closed to within a 22-21 deficit, before a pair of attack errors sandwiched an ace by Rende in seeing the Rams tie the match at one set apiece.
The visitors took a 2-1 lead after using a 10-2 spurt to close out a 25-20 third set, before the teams battled back and forth in the fourth frame. Following two kills by Marquardt to give the host side a 17-16 edge, the teams were tied on six different occasions – including at 23-all on Kollarik's 10th kill of the match. The Devils forced a side out on the next serve, before tallying another point to close out the contest.
