MIDDLEBURY, VT | The Farmingdale State men's golf team placed 12th overall at the Duke Nelson Invitational, hosted by Middlebury College, after carding a 306 (+22) in Sunday's final round. The Rams posted a two-day total of 613 (+45). Amherst (584)Â captured the team title with a 584 after recording a tournament-best 287 (+3) on day two, finishing four strokes ahead of runner-up Babson (588).

CJ Merritt (Plainview, N.Y.) and freshman
Luke Grebinar (Leominster, MA) led FSC in round two, each firing a 75 (+4). Merritt was the Rams' top finisher, placing 29th individually in the field of 106 golfers. Junior
Padruig Douglas (Northport, N.Y.) tallied rounds of 76 (+5) and 77 (+6) to finish in a tie for 32nd.

Luke O'Grady-Rodgers (Carmel, N.Y.) shot 75 (+4) in the opening round before a 79 (+8) on Sunday to place 41st overall, while freshman
Mitchel Creamer (Mission Viejo, CA) tallied matching rounds of 79 (+8) to finish tied for 65th.
Babson's Jack Berry earned medalist honors with a four-under-par 138 across the two-days.
The Rams will next compete in Drew University's The Gauntlet at Bucknell Golf Club in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania on Sunday and Monday, September 21-22.
