Livingston Ties Points Record in Senior Day Win Versus Purchase

Farmingdale State 20, Purchase 1
FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | Farmingdale State sophomore attack Carly Livingston (Farmingdale, N.Y.) tallied three goals and 12 assists to lead the women's lacrosse team to a 20-1 win over visiting Purchase College on Friday afternoon. Her 15 points tied the single-game program record held by Julia Tuohy (2g, 13a), set in 2018. Livingston's 12 assists are also the third-highest single-game total in program history. She now has 69 points this season, which ranks third in the Skyline Conference.

Farmingdale State (7-7) also celebrated Senior Day on Friday, with a pregame ceremony honoring graduating seniors Jules Loughran (Smithtown, N.Y.), Lucienne Horrocks (Rutland, VT), Sarah Fava (Lynbrook, N.Y.) and Dominique Baldino (Island Park, N.Y.).

The Rams tallied seven goals in each of the first two quarters as they led 14-1 at halftime. Junior midfielder Kailee Coppola (Levittown, N.Y.) completed a hat trick in the opening quarter, while Livingston recorded five points. In the second quarter, junior attack Emily Sohm (Seaford, N.Y.) and Livingston each scored twice.

The second half saw three Rams register their first goals of the season as Fava, Krystal Sulin (Nesconset, N.Y.), and Horrocks found the back of the net. Livingston notched the final four assists of the game en route to her record-tying performance.

Loughran finished with four goals, three assists and two caused turnovers, while Coppola produced four goals, four draw control, three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Sohm contributed three goals and one assist and sophomore midfielder Olivia Cassese (Farmingdale, N.Y.) had one goal, one assist and a career-high eight draw control. Sophomore defender Markella Moutafis (Bellmore, N.Y.) chipped in with a goal, two assists, five draw control and two caused turnovers, while freshman Izzy Sheridan (Glen Head, N.Y.) added an assist and a game-high three caused turnovers.
