FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The FSC women's lacrosse team was defeated by Kean University, 12-7, in their final non-conference game of the season on Tuesday afternoon. The Rams dropped to 6-7 overall, while the Cougars now stand at 3-8.

After Kean registered the opening score just 1:11 in, Farmingdale State sophomore attack Carly Livingston (Farmingdale, N.Y.) knotted the tying goal just over two minutes later off the feed from junior Emily Sohm (Seaford, N.Y.).

The game remained 1-1 into the second quarter when Rams' senior midfielder Jules Loughran (Smithtown, N.Y.) produced a pair of goals in a 2-1 run to put FSC in front, 3-2.

The Cougars tied the score at 3-3 with a goal with 1:31 showing on the clock, but Livingston registered an unassisted score 15 seconds prior to halftime as the Rams led 4-3 at the break.

Kean came out strong in the second half, outscoring Farmingdale State, 8-0, in the third quarter to take a commanding 11-4 lead.

The Cougars went up 12-4 before Loughran tallied the final three goals of the game to account for the 12-7 final score.

Loughran led FSC with five goals, including her 50th of the season, to go with three ground balls and two draw control.
