FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College baseball team picked up its first win of the 2025 season Friday afternoon, as the Rams opened their three-game weekend set against visiting Hobart College with a 3-1 victory.
FSC (1-2) notched a two-run fourth inning against the Statesmen (1-2), with junior outfielder
Mike Kocovic (Mahopac, N.Y.) coming across the plate on a double-steal attempt, before sophomore designated hitter
Vincent Deiosso (Glenwood Landing, N.Y.) scored on a dropped fly ball in the outfield.Â
Hobart scratched one run back in the top of the fifth inning, before Rams junior left-handed pitcher
Michael Camardi (Syosset, N.Y.) avoided further damage by inducing a double play grounder – one of three twin killings turned by the hosts on the afternoon.
Farmingdale State responded in its half of the fifth by manufacturing a run to restore its two-run advantage. Freshman shortstop
