Isabella Greenwald (West Islip, N.Y.) scored 13 of her career-high 19 points in the second half Saturday afternoon, helping the Farmingdale State College women's basketball to a key Skyline Conference victory, 59-56, at defending champion University of Mount Saint Vincent.
Greenwald knocked down all six of her fourth-quarter free throws for the visiting Rams (12-8, 9-6 Skyline), who took the lead for good with under a minute to play in the third, 41-40, on a layup by sophomore backcourt mate

In the fourth period, FSC pushed its lead over the Dolphins (10-9, 8-6) to 47-42 with 6:13 remaining on consecutive layups by seniors
Gemma Pohalski (Huntington, N.Y.) and
Erin Conte (Melville, N.Y.). UMSV connected on a bucket in its next trip down the floor, before Greenwald fed Simmons for a layup with 3:56 on the clock to extend Farmingdale State's lead back to five.
The Dolphins closed their deficit to 49-48 with 2:30 remaining, with Rams senior forward
Alexandria Walbroehl (Mastic Beach, N.Y.) responding with a conventional 3-point play 24 seconds later to up the visitors' edge to four. Mount Saint Vincent made it a two-point game at 56-54 with 20 ticks on the clock, before Greenwald canned a pair at the charity stripe after the ensuing inbound pass to extend the lead back to a two-possession contest, at 58-54. Simmons added one more freebie with four seconds to go to ice Farmingdale State's second victory of the week.
UMSVÂ ripped off seven-straight points over a 1:16 stretch to take a 17-8 lead to go with 3:03 left in the first period, before FSC scored the final six points as part of a 10-0 run to go ahead 18-17 at the start of the second quarter on a layup by sophomore forward
Taneece Wooden (Freeport, N.Y.). The teams traded the lead on three more occasions before halftime, with the hosts scoring 11 of the final 15 points to carry a 32-27 lead into the break.
Simmons's go-ahead lay-in at the end of the third period capped off a 10-3 spread over the final 2:48 of the frame by the visitors, with Greenwald contributing five points during the run to go with an old-fashioned 3-point play at the 1:03 mark.
Conte finished with eight points for the fourth time in the last seven contests, while Pohalski (five assists), Wooden, Walbroehl and junior guard
Shyann Parker (Floral Park, N.Y.) scored six apiece. Pohalski and Walbroehl each pulled down 12 rebounds to tie for the game-high.
Farmingdale State will look to extend its winning to three-consecutive games on Wednesday night (Feb. 5), when it travels to St. Joseph's University-Brooklyn for a 6 p.m. tip.
