Kentrell Evans (Brooklyn, N.Y.) scored a career-high 20 points for the Farmingdale State College men's basketball team Saturday afternoon, as the Rams opened Skyline Conference play with an 83-66 road win at SUNY Old Westbury.
Evans (6-of-10 FG, 8-of-10 FT) added seven rebounds and was one of four double-figure scorers for the Rams (8-2, 1-0 Skyline), as senior guard
Michael Notias (Manhasset, N.Y.) chipped in with 19 points (7-of-10 FG, 4-of-5 3FG), five assists and four steals. Fellow senior guard

Dylon Stanley (Lynbrook, N.Y.) made 5-of-9 field goals across his 16-minute stint for 10 points against the Panthers (1-9, 0-1).
Farmingdale State jumped out to a 14-4 lead, with Notias's 3-pointer capping the spurt 5:13 into the contest. Later in the half, the Rams used a 13-2 run to take a 35-18 lead on Stanley's jumper with 6:06 left. Old Westbury responded with a 15-3 spurt of its own to close out the half, slicing FSC's advantage to 38-33 at halftime.
The visitors took a double-digit lead for good on a conventional 3-point play by Evans with 9:28 to go in the second half, before sophomore guard
James Notias (Manhasset, N.Y.) registered five points during a decisive 13-3 run that gave Farmingdale State a 20-point advantage, 72-52, with 3:08 left.
