Shyann Parker (Floral Park, N.Y.) tallied 12 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists to lead the FSC women's basketball team to a 68-43 victory over CCNY in their 2025-26 season opener on Saturday.
The Rams (1-0) opened the game on a 9-1 run and led 19-11 after the first quarter. They extended the advantage to 34-19 at the half after holding the Beavers (0-1) to just eight points in the second quarter.
CCNY pulled to within three points late in the third, but the Rams closed the quarter with three consecutive layups to take a 10-point lead, 46-36, into the fourth.
Farmingdale State outscored the Beavers, 22-7, in the final 10 minutes as they went on for the 68-43 non-conference victory.
Walbroehl made eight field goals and seven free-throws en route to a career-best 23 points. She totaled 19 rebounds, including 16 on the offensive glass, and tied for the 10th-most in a single game in program history.
Parker filled the stat sheet with 12 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists and eight steals in 33 minutes of action. Junior guard Mia Simmons (Queens, N.Y.) added 15 points, seven rebounds and four steals, while junior forward Samyah Allen (Queens Village, N.Y.) finished with eight points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots.
Freshman center Allison Ntambwe (Queens Village, N.Y.) contributed four points off the bench and sophomore guard Nia Phillips (Glen Cove, N.Y.) chipped in two points and a steal. Junior guard Anayah Lloyd (Freeport, N.Y.) registered two points and seven rebounds in the win.
As a team, the Rams recorded 65 total rebounds, the fourth-highest mark in school history.
Farmingdale State will next travel to Albertus Magnus for a non-conference matchup on Thursday, November 13th at 7:00 p.m.
