Lange, Kollarik Lead Rams to Skyline Sweep Over SLC

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team earned a straight-set win over Sarah Lawrence College, 25-14, 25-20, 25-12, in a Skyline Conference matchup on Wednesday evening in Nold Hall. With the victory, the Rams improved to 9-6 overall and 2-2 in conference play, while the Gryphons fell to 7-9, 2-1.

FSC closed the first set on an 8-1 run, including a six-serve spurt by senior libero Delaney Keegan (Lake Grove, N.Y.), to pick up the 25-14 win.

In the second set, Farmingdale State held a 23-15 advantage before the Gryphons tallied five unanswered points to close the gap to just three at 23-20. The Rams secured the set with a kill from junior outside Sarah Kollarik (Levittown, N.Y.) and an SLC error as they went ahead, 2-0.

FSC controlled the third set from the start, cruising to a 25-12 win capped by a service ace from Allison Salinas (Glen Cove, N.Y.).

Sophomore outside hitter Caroline Lange (Shoreham, N.Y.) led the Rams with a career-best 12 kills on a .370 hitting percentage, while Kollarik finished with 10 kills and nine digs. Sophomore outside Samantha Russo (Bay Shore, N.Y.) tallied nine kills, 14 digs, and four service aces, and senior setter Sarah Rende (Wantagh, N.Y.) recorded 36 assists, five kills, seven digs and two aces. Keegan anchored the defense with a match-high 22 digs, while senior middle Lauren Offermann (North Babylon, N.Y.) added six kills. Freshman middle blocker Alana Henry (Amityville, N.Y.) posted five kills and three blocks in the victory.

The Rams return to action on Friday, October 10th, when they host King's College (Pa.) for a non-conference match at 6:00 p.m.
