FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | As part of Farmingdale State College's 2025 Homecoming Weekend, the Rams welcomed back former student-athletes for the annual Alumni Games on Saturday, October 4th at the Nold Hall Athletic Complex. The day featured alumni contests in women's lacrosse, baseball, softball, and men's lacrosse, bringing together current and former Rams for spirited competition on campus.
A highlight of the day came during the baseball alumni game, as former Ram Dennis Gillooly returned to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Gillooly played for Farmingdale in 1970 and 1971 when the College competed at the NJCAA level under Hall of Fame Head Coach Ken Rocco. Following his time at FSC, Gillooly continued his baseball career at Division II Queens College and later worked as a tax auditor.
"It's always fun to see players from so many eras back together again," said Director of Athletics Tom Azzara. "Having Dennis here, someone who represented Farmingdale over 50 years ago, really shows how deep our athletic history runs and how strong our community is."
Homecoming Weekend also included campus-wide events such as Fall Fest, intramural flag football, and student engagement activities.
