OSWEGO, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State women's tennis team finished off their season-opening road trip at Oswego State on Monday morning and fell by a score of 5-2.
FSC (1-2) dropped two-of-three doubles matches as they trailed 1-0 heading into singles competition. Junior
Amanda Jones (Mastic Beach, N.Y.) and sophomore
Natalia Furchel (Manorville, N.Y.) earned a 6-3 victory in the top-flight doubles match.
At #1 singles, Rams' senior
Lien Collings (Merrick, N.Y.) recorded a come-from-behind 2-6, 7-5, 10-2 win.
The Rams other point came in the third position as Jones produced a 6-4, 6-2 victory.
Farmingdale State next returns home to play Hunter College on Saturday, September 7th at noon.
