COMPLETE SKYLINE CONFERENCE RELEASE
NEW YORK | The eight head women's tennis coaches in the Skyline Conference have cast their ballots for the 2026 All-Skyline team, and Farmingdale State College seniors
Natalia Furchel (Manorville, N.Y.) and
Gabriella Loria (Levittown, N.Y.), along with sophomore
Kaelin Burnett (East Islip, N.Y.), were all selected to the All-Skyline First Team. Additionally, 21st-year head coach
Adam Waterhouse was selected as Coach of the Year by his peers for the ninth time. Lastly, sophomore
Marybeth Zimos (Hicksville, N.Y.) was named to the Skyline's All-Sportsmanship Team.
Furchel earns her fourth all-conference honor in as many seasons with the Rams (10-6 overall, 6-1 Skyline), including her third first-team citation. She enters Wednesday's home semifinal of the 2026 Skyline Conference Women's Tennis Championship against Purchase (4:30 p.m.) with an 11-3 record at No. 1 doubles alongside Loria, including a 6-1 record against conference opponents. Furchel has posted a 9-5 record at the top of Farmingdale State's singles lineup and enters tournament play on a five-match winning streak that includes a 5-2 record in Skyline action.
Loria won all six of her singles matches at the No. 3 position against Skyline opponents and holds an 11-4 record overall. A second-team All-Skyline honoree one season ago, she enters the championship tied with Tatiana Rosamilia (2013-16) for the FSC school record with 50 career singles victories. Loria also sits in a fourth-place tie on the program's career doubles wins list, having earned 46 victories over her four-year Rams career.
Burnett has stepped up admirably into the second singles flight for the Rams in her sophomore season, posting a 9-7 overall record and a 4-3 mark in Skyline matches. She has also posted a 10-6 record in doubles action, primarily at the No. 2 position with freshman
Emma Johannsen (Verplanck, N.Y.), with five of those victories coming against Skyline opponents.
Waterhouse repeats as the Skyline's Coach of the Year and has been with the team since its inception. The Rams earned the 200th victory in program history on Oct. 8 at Lehman, and Waterhouse, an Oswego State alumnus, has also earned the Skyline's men's Coach of the Year honor 10 times, including in each of the last three spring seasons.
