Ashley Codispoti (Patchogue, N.Y.) scored four goals during a game-closing run of eight unanswered scores by the Farmingdale State College women's lacrosse team, who defeated host Mount Saint Mary College in Skyline Conference play on Saturday afternoon, 15-6.
The Rams (4-7, 1-1 Skyline) never trailed in the contest, and scored both goals of the first period when junior
Molly Espey (W. Hempstead, N.Y.) and sophomore
Emily Sohm (Seaford, N.Y.) found the back of the net at the 10:40 and 0:08 marks, respectively.
Following a score by the Knights (6-3, 2-2) to start the second quarter, Sohm and Codispoti tallied 10 seconds apart from each other push the visitors' edge to 4-1 with 6:50 left in the half. MSMC scored the next two of the contest, before Espey's second marker of the afternoon came 1:45 before the break to give Farmingdale State a 5-3 lead at halftime.

Carly Livingston (Farmingdale, N.Y.) tallied with 6:46 remaining in the third period to push the Rams ahead by a 7-3 margin. After the Knights cut their deficit to 7-6 with 55 seconds on the clock, Livingston and Codispoti scored in the final 34 seconds of the quarter to start FSC's game-ending run and give it a 9-6 lead entering the fourth quarter.
The Rams outshot the hosts 15-3 in the final 15-minute period, with Codispoti netting three times and Livingston twice during the stretch. Freshman
Markella Moutafis (Bellmore, N.Y.) rounded out the scoring when she registered her first collegiate goal with just under one minute to play.
Codispoti filled the stat sheet with six points (5g, a), eight draw controls and three caused turnovers, while Livingston finished the day with four goals and an assist.
