Giovinco, Stock Combine for 16 Points in Win Over Keystone

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | Farmingdale State attackmen Adam Giovinco (Syossett, N.Y.) and Thomas Stock (Selden, N.Y.) tallied nine and seven points, respectively, in today's 25-7 non-conference victory over Keystone on Thursday. The FSC men's lacrosse team picked up their seventh win of the season and are now 7-2, while the Giants fell to 3-6 overall.

The Rams recorded 10 goals in the first quarter and seven more in the second as they led 17-1 at the halftime break. They outscored Keystone, 8-6, in the final 30 minutes as they went on for the victory.

Giovinco recorded eight goals and was one shy of tying the single game school record of nine. Stock produced four goals, three assists and a season-high six ground balls, while senior attack Tanner Longo (Lloyd Harbor, N.Y.) chipped in with four goals and two assists for a season-high six points. Junior midfielder Tyler Kollar (Bellport, N.Y.) registered four goals, one assist, one caused turnover and five ground balls and senior midfielder Kyle Kolano (Babylon, N.Y.) ended with two goals, two assists and two GB's. Senior Antonio Kaminskey (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) finished 16-for-23 on faceoffs with a game-high 11 ground balls.

Farmingdale State had 11 players combine for 41 total points, a mark that ranks seventh all-time for a single game. The 25 total goals is tied for fifth in program history and 62 shots is tied for eighth.

The FSC defense held the Giants to just 17-for-30 on clear attempts as they caused a season-best 16 turnovers. Midfielders Michael Cassano (Plainview, N.Y.) and Trey Connolly (Seaford, N.Y.) forced two turnovers apiece, while 12 other Rams had one.

Farmingdale State next will play host to non-conference opponent FDU-Florham on Saturday, March 30th at 3:00 p.m.
