RESULTS
NEW HAVEN, CONN. | The Farmingdale State men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed in the Art Kadish Elm City Challenge at Southern Connecticut State University on Friday and Saturday. The men earned a strong second-place finish out of nine teams, scoring 90 points, while the women were sixth out of eight participating teams.

The Rams saw three student-athletes post a regional qualifying mark for the upcoming AARTFC Championships in March. Jumper Daniel Bamfo (Lake Grove, N.Y.) and throwers Adonias Mercado (Hillsdale, N.Y.) and Victoria DeGraw (Kerhonkson, N.Y.) all met the qualifying standard for their event.

Bamfo won the men's triple jump with a career-best mark of 14.25m (46' 9"), moving him into third place in school history.

Mercado placed fifth out of 22 competitors in the shot put and qualified for the regional with a personal-best toss of 15.02m (49' 3.5"). His throw was the third best mark in program history. Mercado also competed in the weight throw and led FSC with a third-place distance of 15.27m (50' 1.25").

Other notable finishers for the men included distance runners Gabriel Aguilar (Levittown, N.Y. - 4:57.27), Jack Lengyel (Cheshire, Conn. - 4:58.06), and Max Reilly (Levittown, N.Y. - 5:05.35), who placed first through third in the mile run and combined for 24 points for FSC.

Sophomore Gabriel Bar Kochva (Bethpage, N.Y.) picked up the win in the 3000m after posting a time of 10:19.79 and the distance medley relay team of Lengyel, Jonathan Engelhardt (Kings Park, N.Y.), Daran Saul (Deer Park, N.Y.) and Davian Rodriguez (West Islip, N.Y.) were victorious with their time of 11:35.06.

Junior Dontay Taylor (Saint Vincent and the Grenadines) was Farmingdale State's top sprinter with 10th place in the 55m in 6.69 seconds and third in the 200m in 22.88. Senior Timothy Folarin (Elmont, N.Y.) was 12th and 14th in the 55m (6.74) and 200m (24.01), respectively.

Freshman Aaron Rivera (Levittown, N.Y.) earned six points with a third place finish in the 800m in 2:08.17. Junior Samuel Aladegboungbe (Bay Shore, N.Y. - 52.68) and freshman Nathaniel White (Mamaroneck, N.Y. - 53.52) came in fifth and sixth in the 400m for three points.

DeGraw led the FSC women in both the shot put and weight throw. She produced a regional qualifying mark in the shot put with a toss of 12.18m (39' 11.5"). Her throw is second all-time in school history and only seven inches from the record. DeGraw also placed 10th in the weight throw (11.61m - 38' 1.25") and is now sixth in program history in the event.

Also for the women, freshman Bryanna Edwards (Bay Shore, N.Y.) took sixth place in both the 55m preliminaries (7.56) and final (7.59). Her prelim time of 7.56 ranks eighth on FSC's top-10 list.
