SCRANTON, PA | The FSC men's basketball team set the program record for most points in a single game on Friday evening, defeating Marywood University, 115-95, in their first game at the Scranton Invitational. Farmingdale State scored 62 points in the first half en route to the record-setting total. The previous mark of 113 points occurred on three occasions (2008 at MSMC, 2009 vs. CMSV & 2022 vs. OW).

The Rams also set the program record for highest field-goal percentage in a single game (66.7%) and tied the mark for total field goals made (44). The previous mark of 65.5% (38-58) was held since 2012.

FSC (2-0) led 22-21 with 10:48 to play in the first half and rattled off 19 unanswered points to open up a commanding 20-point lead. Sophomore guard Michael Notias (Manhasset, N.Y.) scored seven points and added a pair of assists during the run.

Holding a 15-point edge, 43-28, with four minutes on the clock, senior guards Aaron Davis (Valley Stream, N.Y.) and Jevon Santos (Elmont, N.Y.) knocked down back-to-back 3's before Notias had another layup to give the Rams a 51-28 lead.

Farmingdale State outscored Marywood (1-1), 11-9, in the final 2:27 of the half, including nine points by Davis, as they took a 62-37 advantage into the break.

FSC shot 24-for-37 (64.9%) from the field in the first 20 minutes with Davis and senior guard Corey Powell (Valley Stream, N.Y.) recording 14 points apiece.

The Rams opened the second half with a pair of layups by senior forward Nick Hurowitz (Mount Sinai, N.Y.) and a three-point play from freshman forward Kentrell Evans (Brooklyn, N.Y.) to take their largest lead of the game at 69-37.

Marywood cut their deficit to 15 at 86-71 with 10:30 remaining, but FSC answered with a jumper by Notias and a 3-pointer by freshman forward Liam Buckley (Manhasset, N.Y.) to regain a 20-point lead.

Still leading by 20, 107-87, with 2:50 to play, a Santos layup and a free-throw by Macai John (Hauppauge, N.Y.) put Farmingdale State at 110 points.

In the final minute, senior guard Kamani Jones (Baldwin, N.Y.) registered a layup before Jaden Barwicki (Island Park, N.Y.) closed the game with a 3-pointer as FSC picked up the 115-95 victory.
