Farmingdale State - 7, William Paterson - 2

Wayne, N.J. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team posted a 7-2 victory over William Paterson today, their first-ever victory over the Pioneers (1-0). The Rams now stand at 2-0 overall.

Farmingdale held a 2-1 advantage after the doubles matches, with wins coming from sophomore Priscilla Signore (Staten Island, N.Y.) and sophomore Tatiana Rosamilia (Malverne, N.Y.) in the #2 spot and a victory at #3 from junior Denise Liguori (Massapequa, N.Y.) and sophomore Michelle Fredericks (Farmingdale, N.Y.).

The Rams dominated the singles matches with convincing wins from Signore (6-1, 6-1) at #2, senior Alex Bentz (6-2, 6-1 - Massapequa Park, N.Y.) in the 3rd spot, Fredericks 6-0, 6-1 at #4 singles, Rosamilia (6-1, 6-1) at #5 and Liguori (6-3, 6-0) in the 6th spot.

Farmingdale State will now host Hunter College for their home opener on Wednesday, September 10th at 4:30 p.m.
