Box Score Farmingdale State - 5, Baruch - 4
Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team edged Baruch, 5-4, in a non-conference match on Friday afternoon. The Rams improved to 2-1 on the season, while the Bearcats lost their first match of the year and fell to 2-1.
In singles competition, Farmingdale State freshman Priscilla Signore (Staten Island, N.Y.) earned a 3-6, 6-1, 6-3 victory in the second position. Freshman Tatiana Rosamilia (Malverne, N.Y.) earned a 6-4, 6-2 win at fourth singles, while sophomore Denise Liguori (Massapequa, N.Y.) tallied a 6-2, 6-1 victory in the fifth slot.
The Rams earned a pair of points in doubles as Rosamilia teamed with freshman Michelle Fredericks (Farmingdale, N.Y.) for an 8-6 win and Liguori and freshman Diana Selover (Oceanside, N.Y.) notched an 8-2 victory.
Farmingdale State next will open Skyline Conference play as they host Sage on Saturday, September 14th at noon.
