Mount Saint Mary College - 7, Farmingdale State - 2

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The defending Skyline women's tennis team, Mount Saint Mary College, defeated Farmingdale State 7-2 on Saturday afternoon. The Rams now stand at 6-3, 3-1 in conference play, while the Knights remain perfect at 7-0, 3-0 in the Skyline.

Farmingdale fell behind 2-1 after doubles competition, with the win from the #2 team of freshman Denise Liguori (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) and senior Laura Earlie (Moriches, N.Y.).

In singles play, Liguori posted a win in the #4 spot with a 7-6, 7-6 victory over MSMC's Jill Saydlowski. Sophomore Jessica Sickles (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) lost a tight match in the top spot, falling 6-2, 1-6, 7-5.

The Rams will now travel to William Paterson for a non-conference match on Wednesday, October 10 at 5:00 p.m.
