Farmingdale State - 6, Purchase - 3

Purchase, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team improved to 4-1 in the Skyline Conference after earning a 6-3 victory at Purchase this afternoon. The Rams now hold a 7-4 overall record on the season.

In singles action, Farmingdale State earned a point from each of the first five positions. Sophomore Jessica Sickles (Massapequa Park, N.Y.), sophomore Alex Bentz (Massapequa Park, N.Y.), senior Laura Earlie (Moriches, N.Y.), freshman Denise Liguori (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) and senior Rachael Tomasulo (Valley Stream, N.Y.) all recorded wins.

Sickles and Bentz teamed up for an 8-5 victory over juniors Ashley Bernhardt (Bethpage, N.Y.) and Moriah Ormsby (Montebello, N.Y.) in first doubles for the Rams.

Farmingdale State will close out the regular season with a make-up game versus NYU-Poly at a date and time to be determined.
