Rams Break Four School Records at Last Chance Meet

- Magee, Tiernan and 4x100m Relay break school records -

Manhattan, N.Y. - Freshman Corine Magee (Mastic Beach, N.Y./William Floyd) broke two individual records and ran the anchor leg on the record-breaking 4x100m Relay at the New York City Qualfiying Last Chance Meet at Icahn Stadium on May 7th-8th. Sophomore Sean Tiernan (Staten Island, N.Y./Tottenville) broke the 3000m Steeplechase school record by three seconds with a time of 9:50.58.

Corine's day started with the 100m trials, where she ran a school record 12.21. She then teamed with freshmen Vicky Mandat (West Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon), Kathleen Clermont (Uniondale, N.Y./Uniondale) and Faustine Chukwuezi (Central Islip, N.Y./Central Islip) to run 48.87 for the school record. Corine then ran the 200m finals in a school record and National qualifying 25.03. She then finished this amazing day by winning the 100m final in 12.25. Corine's 100m time improves her National qualifying 100m performance.

Chukwuezi qualified for the NCAA Championships in the Triple Jump with a jump of 11.38m (37'4"). She moves to #2 on the All-Time list.
