EWING, N.J. | The College of New Jersey, ranked seventh in Region 4 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Division III Poll, scored a pair of goals in each half of play Saturday to defeat the Farmingdale State College men's soccer team, 4-0.
The Rams (1-4-1) were outshot by the Lions (2-0-2) in each half, with the hosts scoring twice in the final 15 minutes of the opening half to carry a 2-0 advantage into halftime. TCNJ added to its edge eight minutes after the resumption of play, before rounding out the scoring in the 71st minute of play.

Andrew Verdugo (East Elmhurst, N.Y.) made six of his 10 saves in the second half for Farmingdale State, which is back on the field Wednesday (Sept. 16) when it welcomes Baruch College for a 4 p.m. kickoff.
