Livingston Ties Single-Game Points Record as Rams Defeat Purchase

Farmingdale State - 21, Purchase - 1
PURCHASE, N.Y. | Junior attack Carly Livingston (Farmingdale, N.Y.) tied the single-game program record with 15 points on Wednesday evening, leading the Farmingdale State College women's lacrosse team to a 21-1 Skyline victory at Purchase College.

The Rams (7-8, 6-1 Skyline) opened the scoring just 48 seconds into the game when senior midfielder Molly Espey (West Hempstead, N.Y.) won the opening draw control and scored unassisted. FSC added seven more goals in the first quarter, including three from senior attacker Krystal Sulin (Nesconset, N.Y.), and one each from Livingston and Kailee Coppola (Levittown, N.Y.), to take an 8-0 lead.

The Rams continued to add to their total in the second quarter with six goals. Espey scored twice in the period, while Coppola, Emily Sohm (Seaford, N.Y.), and Livingston also found the back of the net as Farmingdale State took a 14-0 lead into halftime. Livingston scored or assisted on five of the six second quarter goals.

In the third, FSC added four more goals as Livingston set up Sohm, Sulin and Coppola for goals before scoring one of her own.

Farmingdale State recorded three goals in the final quarter, including the first of the season from freshman Janiya Grant (Elmont, N.Y.), as they went on for the 21-1 win.

Livingston finished with four goals and a season-high 11 assists for 15 points, tying the Farmingdale State single-game program record for points. Espey totaled five goals and one assist while recording career high's with 13 draw controls and 10 ground balls. Her 13 draw controls are tied for sixth all-time in a single game in program history, while her 10 ground balls are tied for third all-time.
