Western Connecticut - 18, Farmingdale State - 5
FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State women's lacrosse team opened its 2026 campaign on Saturday afternoon with an 18-5 non-conference loss to Western Connecticut State University. The Rams begin the season at 0-1, while the Wolves even their record at 1-1.

FSC struck first just 2:46 into the contest as junior attacker Carly Livingston (Farmingdale, N.Y.) converted a free-position goal to give the Rams a 1-0 lead. After Western Connecticut answered with three straight goals to take a 3-1 advantage, Livingston netted her second of the quarter with 18 seconds remaining to cut the deficit to 3-2 heading into the second.

The Wolves took control in the second quarter, scoring six times in the frame. Senior attack Jordyn Neu (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) stopped the run with a woman-up goal at the 5:43 mark off an assist from Livingston, cutting the margin to 9-3 at halftime.

Western Connecticut extended its lead with six goals in the third quarter to take a 15-3 advantage.

Livingston completed a hat trick with a woman-up free-position goal in the fourth, and senior midfielder Dayana Gonzalez (Brentwood, N.Y.) added a man-down score to account for the 18-5 final score.

Livingston finished with three goals and one assist for four points on five shots, while Neu and Gonzalez each added one goal. Sophomore midfielder Rylee Valenzano (Centereach, N.Y.) led the Rams with five draw control and sophomore defender Rebecca Lohman (Levittown, N.Y.) contributed a career-high three caused turnovers.
