FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The second-seeded Farmingdale State College men's basketball team cruised to an 83-62 victory in the Quarterfinal round of the 2026 Skyline Conference Championship on Wednesday evening. FSC has advanced to the Skyline Conference Semifinals and will play host to No. 3 Sarah Lawrence on Friday, February 27th at 7:00 p.m.
Senior guard
Sean Conroy (Staten Island, N.Y.) registered his 1,000th career point on a free-throw in the first half and became the second Ram to do so this season. Conroy registered 337 points at Mercy University and now has 674 points in his two seasons at FSC.
Farmingdale State came out quick as they scored the first 10 points of the game, capped by a dunk by senior guard
Robbie Siechen (Syracuse, N.Y.). The Golden Eagles (12-14) responded with a 12-5 spurt to cut their deficit to three, but the Rams responded with three consecutive layups to regain a nine-point edge.
Following a jumper by the Golden Eagles, junior forward
Liam Buckley (Manhasset, N.Y.) tallied a 3-pointer and a tip-in layup to give FSC a 26-14 advantage with 8:07 left in the first half.
Farmingdale State was ahead by 11 three minutes later before an 8-0 run put them in front by 19, 41-22.
The Rams led 47-27 at the break and opened the second half scoring eight of the first 10 points to take a commanding 26-point advantage, 55-29.
FSC maintained at least a 21-point edge over the remaining 15:55 of the contest as they rolled to the 83-62 victory.
Buckley led the way with 18 points, 11 rebounds and three assists, while Conroy finished with 18 points, six assists and four rebounds. Senior guard
Michael Notias (Manhasset, N.Y.) registered 11 points, four rebounds and three assists and Siechen produced nine points, six rebounds and a block. Sophomore forward
Jordan Tucker (Elmont, N.Y.) contributed nine points, five rebounds and two steals off the bench, while junior forward
Kentrell Evans (Brooklyn, N.Y.) added seven points and seven rebounds in the win.
Farmingdale State will play host to third-seeded Sarah Lawrence College in the Semifinal round of the Skyline Conference Championship on Friday, February 27th at 7:00 p.m.
