Drew Fall Festival - Day 2
Farmingdale State 1, Stockton 1
MADISON, N.J. | The Farmingdale State College women's soccer team concluded play at the Drew Fall Festival on Sunday afternoon with a 1-1 tie against Stockton University.
The Rams (2-2-1) went ahead in the 63rd minute of play, when senior attacker
Alyse Rivera (Manhattan, N.Y.) buried a free kick from the top of the penalty area. The goal was Rivera's 37th career strike, which moves her into a third-place tie on the FSC leaderboard with Julissa Martinez (2018-19; '21-22) and Farmingdale State Athletics Hall of Famer Katrina Cerverizzo (2008-11).
After the Ospreys (2-1-2) leveled the score at 1-all in the 77th minute, a late flurry before the final whistle nearly saw FSC take home the victory, as Rivera and freshman
Paulina Fonfara (Glen Cove, N.Y.) both had efforts saved inside the final 30 seconds of action.
Senior goalkeeper
Kelsie Feingold (Commack, N.Y.) made six saves for Farmingdale State, which is back in action on the road Saturday (Sept. 13) at 1 p.m. versus FDU-Florham.
