Men's Soccer Wins Back-And-Forth Tilt vs. Baruch

Farmingdale State 4, Baruch 3
FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | After falling behind by one goal on Wednesday night, back-to-back scores inside the final five minutes of action by freshmen Josue Granados (Brentwood, N.Y.) and Lucca Noboa (Freeport, N.Y.) sent the Farmingdale State College men's soccer team to a 4-3 triumph over Baruch College.

FSC (1-4) went ahead in the 10th minute through freshman left back Darlin Alcantara Jimenez (Westbury, N.Y.), who completed a give-and-go along the left sideline with senior Tyree Baskin Jr. (Freeport, N.Y.) and sent a 25-yard strike into the top corner of the goal.

The Rams doubled their lead over the Bearcats (0-2-2) on Noboa's first collegiate goal in the 27th minute, when he chipped a 15-yard shot over the Baruch goalkeeper following a defensive deflection.

Baruch scored the next three goals of the contest, including one just two minutes before halftime and scores in the 71st and 78th minutes to hold a 3-2 edge over the hosts. Granados responded with his first-collegiate goal 4:22 before the final whistle, making a run on the right end line and roofing the equalizing strike from a tough angle to tie the game at 3-all.

Then, with 1:51 remaining, Granados's shot from the right side of the penalty area was saved by a diving Bearcats goalie. The rebound skipped to the top-left corner of the box, where Noboa slotted home into the bottom-right corner of the goal to register his second goal of the night, and his first game-winning marker.

Senior keeper Rocco Dispinseri (Dix Hills, N.Y.) picked up the win in goal with five saves for Farmingdale State, which opens Skyline Conference play at home in a noontime start on Saturday versus St. Joseph's-Brooklyn.
