PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College women's tennis team opened the 2025-26 season with a non-conference matchup versus Saint Michael's College on Saturday morning, falling 7-0.
The Purple Knights claimed the doubles point with a 6-0 win in the No. 1 spot and 6-1 victories in the second and third matches.
In singles play, Saint Michael's took the top-flight match 6-1, 6-0 and earned a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4 to go up 3-0. The Purple Knights clinched the match when Olivia Larsen defeated FSC freshman Martine McGown (Port Washington, N.Y.), 6-2, 6-3 in the second position.

Heather McGullam (Hauppauge, N.Y.) won six games at No. 6 singles for FSC, while classmate
Gabriella Loria (Levittown, N.Y.) captured five games at No. 5, but both came up short as Saint Michael's completed the 7-0 shutout.
FSC returns to action on Wednesday, September 3rd, when they travel to face Yeshiva University in their Skyline Conference opener at 7:00 p.m.
