MONTCLAIR, N.J. | The Farmingdale State College women's tennis team opened its Skyline Conference title defense on Wednesday night with a convincing 6-1 victory over Yeshiva University at the Brookdale Park Tennis Center.

McGowan opened her Skyline singles career with a 6-2, 6-0 victory in the top flight against Pollock, before Furchel knocked off Mimoun by scores of 6-1 and 6-0 at No. 2 to push the Rams' edge in the match to 3-0.
