WEST POINT, NY | The Farmingdale State men's and women's outdoor track and field teams competed at the West Point Twilight meet on Thursday evening and freshman
Victoria DeGraw (Kerhonkson, N.Y.) set a new school record in the discus with a toss of 38.96m (127' 10"). She bested her own mark from earlier this season and secured her place in next week's Atlantic Region Championships.
Senior
Olivia Finnegan (Massapequa, N.Y.) tallied a trio of top-10 finishes for the Farmingdale State women, including third place in the 200m dash in 28.05. She also recorded fifth place in the 100m in a personal-best 13.50 and was ninth in the long jump (4.68m - 15' 4.25").
Junior
Mia Harris (Manhattan, N.Y.) competed in the 100m hurdles for FSC and produced fifth place in 19.32.
On the men's side, sophomore
Adonias Mercado (Hillsdale, N.Y.) was runner-up in the discus with a throw of 49.68m (161' 8"). He moved up to fourth on the all-time record list with the toss. Mercado also competed in the shot put and tallied sixth place (14.80m - 48' 6.75").
Senior
Jahvirye Wilks (Farmingdale, N.Y.) led Farmingdale State in the hammer throw (ninth - 46.10m), was seventh in the shot put (12.84m) and 12th for the discus (40.11m).
Freshman
Davian Rodriguez (West Islip, N.Y.) tallied fourth and sixth in the 110m hurdles (16.02) and 400m hurdles (57.78), respectively, while freshman
Matthew Alicea (Mamaroneck, N.Y.) was the Rams top sprinter in both the 100m (13th - 11.92) and 200m (11th - 23.70).
Farmingdale State will next travel to Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts for the All-Atlantic Region Outdoor Championship on May 14th and 15th.
