FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | Senior midfielder
Tyler Kollar (Bellport, N.Y.) tallied a season-high five goals to lead the Farmingdale State College men's lacrosse team to an 18-11 Skyline Conference victory over visiting Merchant Marine on Wednesday. Kollar tied the single-game school record with three of his five goals coming man-up. He also produced two caused turnovers and four ground balls from his midfield position to lead FSC to its 10th consecutive victory. The Rams 10 straight wins is a new program record, besting the previous streak of nine in 2023. Farmingdale State is undefeated against Division III opponents this season and holds a record of 10-2 overall and 2-0 in conference play.
After each team scored three goals in the first quarter, FSC opened the second with five unanswered goals to go up, 8-3. Senior midfielder
Gerardo Maldonado (West Hempstead, N.Y.) put the Rams ahead, before back-to-back scores by brothers
Andrew Giovinco (Syosset, N.Y.) and
Adam Giovinco (Syosset, N.Y.) gave Farmingdale State a three-goal advantage. Senior attack
Thomas Mai (Islip, N.Y.) and Kollar produced man-up scores over the next three minutes as the Rams took an 8-3 lead.
FSC was ahead 9-5 in the third quarter before junior attack
Kamryn Gill (Riverhead, N.Y.) tallied back-to-back goals to jump ahead by six, 11-5.
The Rams led 12-7 early in the fourth and used a 3-0 run, including a pair of goals by Kollar, to take a commanding eight-goal advantage with 11 minutes remaining. After USMMA (5-5, 2-1 Skyline) tallied a pair of goals, Mai, Kollar and sophomore defender
Sean Lawson (Mattituck, N.Y.) found the back of the net for FSC.Â
The Mariners added two goals in the final minute to account for the 18-11 final score.
Andrew Giovinco finished with four goals and one assist in the victory, while Mai had two goals and two assists. Maldonado (2g, 1a) and

Antonio Kaminskey (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) went 19-for-31 on faceoffs and picked up 11 ground balls. He tallied the 1,000th faceoff win of his career in the first quarter, becoming the first player in program history to reach that milestone. Kaminskey continues to excel in the Rams record books with 1,017 faceoffs won and 618 career ground balls. His ground ball record is currently 324 more than the next closest student-athlete.

Joseph Bleck (Farmingdale, N.Y.) tallied two caused turnovers and freshman
Logan Reese (West Islip, N.Y.) chipped in with one CT and four ground balls.
Senior goalkeeper
Dan Erler (Smithtown, N.Y.) had a strong night in the cage for FSC, stopping 14 shots, causing one caused turnover and picking up five ground balls.
The men's lacrosse team will next travel to Purchase College on Friday for a Skyline Conference game at 7:00 p.m.
