PURCHASE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College men's tennis team pushed its winning streak to nine-consecutive matches on Sunday afternoon, as the Rams defeated host Manhattanville University in Skyline Conference play, 7-0.
FSC (11-2, 3-0 Skyline) earned default wins at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles over the Valiants (3-7, 0-3), and secured the team doubles point with a 6-0 second-flight victory by sophomores
Ty Williams (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) and
Kwaku Agyeman (Middletown, N.Y.) versus Manhattanville counterparts Mario Alcala and Dylan Von Brook.
The Rams clinched the team victory with a 6-0, 6-0 decision at No. 4 singles by senior
Muhammad Sawar (Brentwood, N.Y.) against Von Brook, as well as a 6-0, 6-1 triumph in the fifth flight by sophomore
Myles Freelin (Islip, N.Y.) versus John Curtin. Senior
Alan Sabovic (Bohemia, N.Y.), freshman
