Women's Lacrosse Rolls Past Old Westbury

Farmingdale State 19, Old Westbury 1
OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. | Ten different players scored goals Friday afternoon for the Farmingdale State College women's lacrosse team, which moved to 5-0 in Skyline Conference play with a 19-1 victory at SUNY Old Westbury.

The Rams (6-6) received a career-high-tying 12 points from sophomore attacker Carly Livingston (Farmingdale, N.Y.) on a hat trick and nine assists, including her 100th career goal, with senior midfielder Jules Loughran (Smithtown, N.Y.) adding five goals and two assists. Freshman Izzy Sheridan (Glen Head, N.Y.) collected a career-best four points, including three assists, while two goals apiece were scored by sophomores Olivia Cassese (Farmingdale, N.Y.) and Megan DiBiasi (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.), along with senior Molly Espey (West Hempstead, N.Y.) – who led all players with nine draw controls.

FSC raced out to a 9-0 lead after one period of play, including goals in the final 57 seconds by Cassese, sophomore Markella Moutafis (Bellmore, N.Y.) and Loughran, before Cassese upped the lead to double digits at 10-0 just 14 seconds into the second quarter. The Panthers (2-6, 1-4 Skyline) got onto the scoreboard at the 13:08 mark, before junior Jordyn Neu (New Hyde Park, N.Y.), Livingston, Espey and Sheridan each found the back of the net to give FSC a 14-1 halftime advantage.

Junior Emily Sohm (Seaford, N.Y.) and junior Rebecca Lohman (Levittown, N.Y.) scored one goal each in the victory, with Lohman and DiBiasi's goals serving as their first in a green and white uniform. Junior goalie Giavanna Stamatelo (Levittown, N.Y.) tallied eight saves in the Rams' cage.

Farmingdale State rounds out regular-season non-conference play at home on Tuesday afternoon (April 15), when it plays host to Kean University at 4.
