FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College men's tennis team moved to 5-2 on the season Tuesday afternoon, as the Rams shut out visiting Western Connecticut State University, 7-0.
FSC captured the doubles point against the Wolves (1-4) by sweeping all three matches, including a 6-0 shutout by seniors 
Vansh Aggarwal (Mumbai, India) and 
Muhammad Sawar (Brentwood, N.Y.) in the second flight over Nicholas Peschier and Henry Gsell. Sophomores 
Ty Williams (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) and 
Kwaku Agyeman (Middletown, N.Y.) followed with a 6-3 victory at the No. 3 position against Caleb Harris and Jose Zambrano, before senior 
Alan Sabovic (Bohemia, N.Y.) teamed with junior 
Ryan Hendel (Merrick, N.Y.) for a 7-5 decision in the top flight versus Aidan Burke and Kevin Tenesca.
All six of the singles matches were straight-set wins for the Rams, with Aggarwal first into the scorebook at No. 3 with a 6-0, 6-1 victory against Peschier. Sabovic registered a victory in the top flight versus Tenesca by identical 6-0 scores, before freshman 
Michael Lerman (Massapequa, N.Y.) secured the team victory with a 6-1, 6-1 decision over Zambrano at No. 5.
Farmingdale State is back in home action Thursday at 4:30 p.m., when it plays host to Baruch College (5-0 record).
