U.S. Merchant Marine Academy 73, Farmingdale State 66
KINGS POINT, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College men's basketball team rounded out its regular-season schedule Saturday afternoon at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, which pulled away over the final three-plus minutes to secure a 73-66, Skyline Conference victory over the Rams.
FSC (16-9, 13-3 Skyline) is the top seed for next week's 2025 Skyline Conference Men's Basketball Championship, and will play host to the eighth-seeded Mariners (10-15, 6-10) in a Tuesday night quarterfinal at the Walter A. Lynch Sports Center. Game times and full pairings will be released by the conference office on Sunday.
The first half featured eight ties and five lead changes, with neither team leading by more than five points in the back-and-forth affair. With USMMA ahead 10-5 early on, Farmingdale State scored eight straight points to go take its first lead of the game. Junior guard

Hamdel Mohammed (Bronx, N.Y.) registered a layup and dunk with 1:37 and 0:46 on the clock, respectively, before a field goal by the Mariners sent the teams into the locker room at halftime tied 30-30.
The Rams held multiple six-point leads in the second half, including at 53-47 on a jumper by Mohammed with 9:32 left. USMMAÂ closed to with a 57-56 count at 6:13, before FSC junior guard
Michael Notias (Manhasset, N.Y.) knocked down a 3-pointer off a pass from Conroy with 5:32 remaining to push the visitors' lead back to four. Tucker notched a put-back layup, followed by one free throw from sophomore forward
Kentrell Evans (Brooklyn, N.Y.) in the next offensive possession, to give Farmingdale State a 63-61 lead with 3:40 to go. From there, the Mariners countered with the next seven points of the contest to take the lead for good, and hit seven free throws down the stretch to ice the game.
Mohammed came off the bench to score 14 points on 6-of-7 shooting for Farmingdale State, with Notias adding 11. Conroy and sophomore forward
