Men's Soccer Drops Skyline Match at USMMA

U.S. Merchant Marine Academy 1, Farmingdale State 0
KINGS POINT, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College men's soccer team fell victim to an early goal by the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy on Wednesday night, as the host Mariners defeated the Rams, 1-0.

USMMA (11-3-3, 7-1-2 Skyline) notched the only goal of the game on a right-channel run from 15 yards away 17 minutes after the opening whistle.

FSC nearly tied the match two minutes after hafltime courtesy of freshman midfielder Carlos Hernandez (Dix Hills, N.Y.), whose 25-yard shot from the middle of the field rang off the crossbar.

Senior goalkeeper Rocco Dispinseri (Dix Hills, N.Y.) made eight saves in net for Farmingdale State, which plays host to a crucial Skyline Conference match on Saturday (Oct. 25) at noon versus defending champion Manhattanville University.
