NEWBURGH, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team traveled to Mount Saint Mary College on Saturday and fell in five sets. With the loss, the Rams drop to 12-7 overall and 4-3 in Skyline play, while the Knights improve to 8-12, 4-2.

Mount Saint Mary opened the match with a 25-14 win before Farmingdale State bounced back to take the second and third sets 25-20 and 25-19 behind strong attacking from freshman middle blocker Alana Henry (Amityville, N.Y.) and sophomore outside hitter Samantha Russo (Bay Shore, N.Y.). The Knights evened the match with a 25-21 win in the fourth set to force a decisive fifth set.

In the fifth, Mount Saint Mary built an 11-4 advantage, before a 7-1 run from Farmingdale State pulled them to within one at 12-11. The Knights tallied the next two points, but a pair of errors allowed FSC cut the deficit to 14-13. Mount Saint Mary's Julianna Simone clinched the 3-2 win with a kill on the ensuing serve as the Knights went on for the 15-13 set victory.

Henry finished with a career-best 19 kills on a .485 hitting percentage, while Russo recorded 15 kills, four aces and six digs.
