Seminatore’s Goal Lifts Women's Soccer Past Mount Saint Mary

Farmingdale State - 1, Mount Saint Mary - 0

NEWBURGH, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State women's soccer team earned a 1-0 Skyline Conference victory at Mount Saint Mary College on Saturday afternoon behind a goal from freshman Natalia Seminatore (Oceanside, N.Y.). With the win, the Rams improved to 6-9-2 overall and 5-2-1 in conference play, while the Knights fell to 5-9-1, 5-3.

The lone goal of the game came in the 30th minute. The Rams drew a foul and were awarded a free kick near the right corner. Junior Abigail Chest (Johnstown, N.Y.) sent the ball into the box, where Seminatore collected the loose ball and scored into the left of the goal for the eventual game-winning score.

FSC controlled most of the match, placing seven shots on target, to just two for Mount Saint Mary.

Senior goalkeeper Hailey Stork (Bellmore, N.Y.) recorded a diving stop in the 80th minute on the only shot on goal of the second half for the Knights. She made two saves en route to the 1-0 shutout victory.

The Rams will next host Merchant Marine for a Skyline Conference match on Wednesday, October 22nd at 5:00 p.m.
