YONKERS, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College women's soccer team fell Wednesday night in Skyline Conference play at Sarah Lawrence College, 1-0.
The Gryphons (5-8-1, 4-3 Skyline) notched the only goal of the game in the 57th minute, when a shot from the top of the penalty area found the top-right corner of the net.
FSC (5-9-2, 4-2-1) had arguably its best chance of the game 11 minutes after the opening whistle, when junior
Stephanie Alberghine's attempt from close range was turned aside by the Sarah Lawrence keeper.
Alberghine placed two first-half shots on target for the Rams, while senior
Alyse Rivera (Manhattan, N.Y.), sophomore
Bianca Ferraro (Massapequa, N.Y.) and junior
Julia Rebich (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) all fired one shot on frame.

Hailey Stork (Bellmore, N.Y.) made three of her four saves in the second half for Farmingdale State, which is back on the road Saturday (Oct. 18) for a 2 p.m. conference tilt at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, N.Y.
