Schedule Change for Men's Soccer; Rams to Play at Division I Quinnipiac Tuesday

DIRECTIONS TO QUINNIPIAC
FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College men's soccer team has added a match to its schedule, as the Rams will travel to Hamden, Conn., to face Division I institution Quinnipiac University on Tuesday (Oct. 1) at 2:30 p.m.

The contest is believed to be FSC's first against a Division I program. Live stats will be available at this link, while any available live streaming link will be added to the men's soccer schedule page.

The Rams enter the match with a 5-3-3 record, and a 2-1-2 mark in Skyline Conference play after falling by a 1-0 final Saturday at Manhattanville University. Freshman winger Jean Mejia (Freeport, N.Y.) leads the team with 14 points, with three of his five goals serving as the game-winning score – a mark that is tied for No. 7 in Division III. Senior forward and reigning Skyline Conference Offensive Player of the Year Anthony Bileddo (Carle Place, N.Y.) is tied with Jean Mejia for the team lead with five goals, while sophomore midfielder Jose Mejia (Guatemala City, Guatemala) ranks 27th nationally with his team-best five assists.

Quinnipiac enters with a record of 2-4-1, and Tuesday's match will be the Bobcats' last contest before entering the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference portion of its slate. QU was last in action on Sept. 24, when it fell at home to Yale University. Filip Kangeman leads the Bobcats with three goals and seven points, and has scored twice in his last three outings.
