Women's Soccer, Mount Saint Vincent Play to Scoreless Draw

Farmingdale State 0, Mount Saint Vincent 0
RIVERDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College women's soccer team remained undefeated in Skyline Conference play, as the Rams played to a scoreless draw Wednesday night at the University of Mount Saint Vincent.

FSC (2-5-3, 1-0-2 Skyline) placed five shots on target versus the defending champion Dolphins (3-3-1, 2-0-1), including a pair apiece by freshman striker Abigail Chest (Johnstown, N.Y.) and sophomore winger Kayla Mendez (Staten Island, N.Y.). The Rams' best chance of the night came less than five minutes before the final whistle, when junior attacker Alyse Rivera (Manhattan, N.Y.) sent a 22-yard shot just wide of the top-left corner of the UMSV net.

Defensively, FSC junior keeper Kelsie Feingold (Commack, N.Y.) made three saves in each half of play, including a diving stop to her lower-left corner with 20 minutes remaining, to preserve her second clean sheet of the season. Senior central defenders Alexxis McNeil (Valley Stream, N.Y.) and Alexandra Getfield (West Islip, N.Y.) led the defensive line in front of Feingold, as just one of Mount Saint Vincent's 13 shots on the night came from inside the penalty area.

Farmingdale State is back at home on Saturday (Sept. 28), when it continues Skyline play with a noontime kickoff against Sarah Lawrence College as part of FSC's Homecoming festivities.
