Farmingdale State College

Kayla is a 2023 graduate of Susan E. Wagner High School, where she scored a PSAL-best 31 goals in her senior season and won the school's 2023 Athletic Director Award. She was also an Honor Roll student all four years. Prior to attending FSC, Kayla played soccer at Adelphi University for one season. Kayla was called into the Costa Rica Under-20 national team the summer prior to arriving at FSC. She is the daughter of Carol and Deloha Mendez.

2024...Second Team All-Skyline Conference...One of four Rams to play in all 23 games...Led the team with 13 goals and four game-winning scores...Was second on FSC with 30 points...Ranked third in the Skyline for goals, points, and game-winning goals...Finished 54th in the Nation for GWG, 65th in goals, and 73rd for points.
2023 (at Adelphi)...Played in three games for the NCAA Division II semifinalist Panthers, registering one assist.
