SCHENECTADY, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College men's tennis team competed Saturday at Union College, falling to the host Garnet Chargers by a 6-1 count.
The lone win on the afternoon for the Rams (1-1) came courtesy of senior
Vansh Aggarwal (Mumbai, India), who rallied after dropping the first set of his No. 2 singles match against Union's (2-0) Ben Jacobs to post a three-set victory. The pair played to a tiebreaker in the second frame, with Aggarwal registering a 7-2 score, before he earned a 10-8 triumph in the third-set super tiebreaker to move to 2-0 on the young season.
FSC is back in action on Oct. 5 (Sat.), when it travels to Madison, N.J., for an 11 a.m. first serve at Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham.
