FSC Baseball Alumnus Pimentel Joins Skyline Conference Office

NEW YORK I Farmingdale State baseball alumnus, Elian Pimentel (Huntington Station, N.Y.), is going from the diamond of a Skyline Conference program to the front office of the conference itself.

The recently graduated FSC baseball standout is joining the league as its new marketing and communication intern this week. Pimentel earned his BA in sports management from Farmingdale State College in May following an associate degree in business management at Herkimer Community College, where he graduated in 2021. In addition to his new post at the Skyline, he is currently working as a content and marketing strategist with Kind World Collective – a recruiting and consulting firm. There he assists with the development and execution of marketing campaigns across various digital platforms.

Pimentel's focus at the Skyline will be on social media creation and aiding in the continued enhancement of championships under second-year Commissioner Melissa Reilly. Pimentel will work closely with Associate Commissioner Bobby Ciafardini, who oversees the communications and sports information for the Skyline and its 12 core members and 19 intercollegiate sports.

"I am super excited for this opportunity, and I can't wait to get to work," Pimentel said. "Being a former Skyline student-athlete makes it even more special for me."

Reilly said it's a special opportunity for the conference office, too.

"We look to hire innovative, motivated and organized interns in the conference office," she said. "We are honored to continue to mentor a student-athlete from our own network. This opportunity will help Elian grow and gain real-world experience while working collaboratively with our institutions and the office itself.

"Elian is a very talented young man with a passion for the Skyline Conference and we're excited to have him with us."

Pimentel received All-Skyline Second Team honors in 2024 and was a member of the academic honor roll his entire undergraduate career. He also received Academic President's List honors in 2022 from FSC, while starring at first base and in a utility role for the perennial contending Rams.

Since graduating from FSC, Pimentel has also worked as an assistant and head coach for MVP New York Baseball and as an intern with ZIYNX – a "Gen Z marketing platform connecting student-athletes with the brands they love."

"I'd like to thank Commissioner Reilly for the opportunity," Pimentel said. "I'm looking forward to helping the Skyline continue to grow."
