2024 Skyline Conference Men's Tennis Championship - Semifinal

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The top-seeded Farmingdale State College men's tennis team defeated No. 4 seed Yeshiva University, 5-0, in the semifinal round of the Skyline Conference Championship on Thursday evening.
The Rams (16-0) have advanced to their second-straight Skyline Conference championship final, and will play host to No. 2 seed Manhattanville University (a 5-3 semifinal winner versus USMMA), Saturday at noon.
Prior to the semifinal, FSC held a special Senior Night ceremony for its seven graduating seniors:
Ethan Cintron (Bayside, N.Y.),
Edward Kemp (Oyster Bay, N.Y.),
Vincent Manzi (Massapequa, N.Y.),
Matthew Olkhovetsky (Great Neck, N.Y.),
Alan Sabovic (Bohemia, N.Y.),
Muhammad Sawar (Brentwood, N.Y.) and
Matthew Waterhouse (Massapequa Park, N.Y.).
Farmingdale State held a 3-0 lead over the Maccabees (5-11) after doubles play, including an 8-1 victory in the top flight by sophomore
Ryan Hendel (No. Merrick, N.Y.) and junior
Vansh Aggarwal (Mumbai, India) against David Cattan and Leo Rahmey. Next into the scorebook was the No. 3 tandem of Sawar and freshman
Ty Williams (Pt. Jefferson Station, N.Y.), who bested YU's Mark Adler and Israel Bussu by an 8-3 count, before Sabovic and Waterhouse earned the second-flight point with an 8-4 triumph against the Macs' Jacob Pfeifer and Harry Radinsky.
Sabovic pushed the FSC edge to 4-0 with identical 6-1 set victories at No. 1 singles versus Pfeifer, before Williams closed out the match with his 6-2, 6-2, win at the fifth slot against Rahmey.
