BRONXVILLE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State men's tennis team traveled to Sarah Lawrence College for a Conference match on Saturday afternoon and earned its fourth consecutive 9-0 victory. The Rams improved to 7-0 overall and 3-0 in the Skyline with the win.
FSC cruised through doubles play, dropping just one game. The #1 duo of sophomore
Ryan Hendel (North Merrick, N.Y.) and junior
Vansh Aggarwal (Mumbai, India) and #3 duo of freshman
Ty Williams (Port Jefferston Station, N.Y.) and
Emil Sabovic (Bohemia, N.Y.) picked up 8-0 wins, while seniors
Alan Sabovic (Bohemia, N.Y.) and
Matthew Waterhouse (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) took second doubles by a score of 8-1.
Three Rams earned shutout wins in the singles competition as Aggarwal, senior
Ethan Cintron (Bayside, N.Y.) and junior
Vincent Manzi (Massapequa, N.Y.) won 6-0, 6-0 in the second, fourth and fifth slots, respectively.
At first and sixth singles, A. Sabovic and senior
Edward Kemp (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) tallied 6-0, 6-1 victories.
Senior
Matthew Olkhovetsky (Great Neck, N.Y.) clinched the 9-0 win with a 6-4, 6-2 win at #3 singles.
The men's tennis team is back in action tomorrow, Sunday, April 7th when they travel to SUNY Oneonta for a non-conference match at noon.
