Thomas Stock (Selden, N.Y.) matched his career-best with five goals to lead the men's lacrosse team to a 15-9 non-conference victory at Hartwick on Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Rams improved to 3-1 overall. The Hawks fell in just their second game of the season and are now 1-1.

Senior face off specialist
Antonio Kaminskey (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) won the ensuing draw and just 25 seconds later, Stock recorded his first goal of the game to put Farmingdale State up 2-0.Â
The Rams held a 2-1 advantage with four minutes to play in the quarter before freshman attack
Adam Giovinco (Syosset, N.Y.) rattled off back-to-back goals, including one from Kaminskey off the face off, to go up 4-1.
The Hawks cut their deficit to 5-3 with two of the first three scores in the second quarter, before Kaminskey won another face off the quickly set up a score by Giovinco.
Farmingdale State opened up a four-goal advantage with 6:52 to play in the half as Longo registered his second goal of the game.
Hartwick trailed 8-5 heading into the halftime break and opened the third with a goal to close the gap to just two.
FSC answered with three unanswered scores, by sophomore attack

Gerardo Maldonado (West Hempstead, N.Y.) and Giovinco, to take an 11-6 lead.
After a Hawks goal, Maldonado and Stock tallied scores to give the Rams a commanding 13-7 advantage heading into the fourth quarter.
Each team had two goals in the final 15 minutes as FSC went on for the 15-9 non-conference victory.
Stock registered his five goals on seven shots on goal. He also added an assist and two ground balls. Giovinco produced four goals and one assist for five points and both Maldanado and Longo recorded two goals apiece off the bench.
Kaminskey won 18-of-26 face offs and picked up 15 ground balls. He is now 70-for-103 on the season for a .680 face off winning percentage, which is top-40 in the NCAA.Â
On defense, senior
Gino Luchetti (Farmingville, N.Y.) tallied one caused turnover and three ground balls and freshman
Sean Lawson (Mattituck, N.Y.) had one CT and one GB.
Junior goalkeeper
Dan Erler (Smithtown, N.Y.) finished with 15 saves on 24 shots on goal to pick up the win.
The men's lacrosse team will next play Eastern Connecticut in their home opener on Friday, March 8th at 3:00 p.m.
