SOFTBALL SCHEDULE/RESULTS
CLERMONT, FL | The Farmingdale State softball team wrapped up their spring break trip with a pair of games on Saturday. The Rams fell to the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), 9-6, and #14 Tufts, 3-1, and end the trip with a record of 4-6.
Saturday, March 16
In game one against MSOE, FSC struck first as senior right fielder
Jenna Giliberti (Bellmore, N.Y.) led off with a double and freshman left fielder
Bailey Hammock (Port Jervis, N.Y.) tallied a single to put runners on first and third. After a stolen base by Hammock, back-to-back sacrifice bunts by senior shortstop
Angelina Capuano (Sayville, N.Y.) and sophomore first baseman
Samantha Stolfi (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) put Farmingdale State on top, 2-0.
The Raiders got one back in the bottom of the first and two more in the second to go up, 3-2.
FSC knotted the score at 3-3 in the fourth after freshman catcher
Madison Sturtz (East Islip, N.Y.) singled, stole second and scored on a double by freshman third baseman

MSOE took a 4-3 advantage in the fifth, but the Rams quickly responded with two runs in the sixth. An
Ashley Toro (Islip, N.Y.) single followed by an error scored Farmingdale State's two runs.
The Raiders put up five runs in the bottom of the sixth as they took a 9-5 advantage heading into the final inning.
The Rams scored one run in the seventh to account for the 9-6 final score.
Giliberti led FSC with three hits, a double and two runs scored. Stolfi produced two hits and two RBI's, while Hammock and Sturtz had two hits and one run scored apiece.
Farmingdale State played 14th ranked Tufts in game two and fell behind 2-0 after a pair of unearned runs crossed the plate in the first inning.
Giliberti got one back as she singled, stole second and third, and scored on a throwing error.
The Jumbos increased their lead to 3-1 in the top of the fourth on an RBI single. Capuano limited the damage by throwing a runner out at the plate.
Over the final three innings, both teams combined for just two baserunners as the game ended 3-1. FSC senior pitcher
Allie Stanya (Babylon, N.Y. - L, 7.0 IP, 1 ER, 5 SO) and Tufts junior Sky Johnson (W, 7.0 IP, 1 ER, 7 SO) controlled both offenses.
Farmingdale State will now return home and next travel to play Skyline opponent Yeshiva University on Friday, March 22nd.
